🐁 Is Canggu Or Seminyak Better

I've been researching about different surf camps, now I'm doubting to go to Kima surf Canggu or Seminyak. I read here that for a solo traveler Seminyak is a better option, but the conversation was in 2015. Is the connection between Canggu and Seminyak still bad? is still better option Seminyak? Just got back from three weeks in Canggu/Seminyak. Canggu for sure! Gojek scooter taxi is the way to get around and they are everywhere and very affordable (0.50 - 1USD) for a trip from destination to destination in Canggu. Less traffic better vibes and restaurants and bars are world class. Some places worth checking out: The road to Seminyak is in better condition and the town itself is closer to Denpasar Airport. It takes 25 minutes to drive to most major hotels here from the airport. Canggu vs Seminyak: Nightlife. After a day of catching waves or diving the reefs off Canggu’s beaches, grab a cold Bintang as the sun sets at any of the little beach bars. Lol. About the prices a lot of bars and restaurants in seminyak and canggu are close to the same price as places in USA. If you are looking for a cheap asian holiday you won't find it in that part of Bali. Culture wise, its about as far from Indonesia culture as you can get. Canggu is only good if you have transport otherwise you are stuck. Mostly families in villas and surfers. In Sanur you have a variety of people. Not all families but non backpacker singles, the over 30 crowd, lots of Europeans and people who are over Kuta /Legian. Personally, I find Canggu (due to its ever-expanding size) to have more options. From budget backpacker hostels to luxury Airbnb’s, the “Gu” has everything. Uluwatu also has plenty of options, less than Canggu, but for me, anywhere you stay in Bali you can pick and choose your budget, amenities, and location and book whatever you want. Traffic in Canggu can be crazy, but if you get around by GoJek or Grab / motorbike, you will be able to move thru it fairly well. Canggu has the action, but Semiyak is quieter, which can be nice. I don't know about price differences - each area has a variety of restaurants and accommodations that are both inexpensive($$) and luxurious ($$$$). The Slow is one of Canggu’s busiest places, so I’d recommend an early reservation. The Haven Suites Bali Berawa: located in Berawa, the cool area of Canggu, this is a great place to stay and enjoy the surroundings. It’s also a budget yet comfortable hotel in Canggu. Theanna Eco Villa and Spa: offering 22 uniquely styled private pool Canggu is definitely quieter than Seminyak with some great places to eat. But, if you want to get into Eat St at Seminyak then you are going to have get motorbikes or a car as taxis are not as easy to get in Canggu. As for riding a motorbike in Bali, I would say don't, it's just not safe especially if you are not a regular motorbike rider. 1. Pay a Visit to Nyaman Gallery:If you are an ardent art lover, paying a visit to the Nyaman Gallery is one of the most suggested activities to do in Seminyak for you. Here, you can see beautiful arts and paintings by local craftsmen and painters and buy ceramic and oil paintings as memorabilia.2. Whether Ubud or Kuta is better is really a personal preference and spending some time in both places will provide variety and interest to your Bali vacation.
